As a board member, your heart is in the right place. You joined the board because you care about a nonprofit’s mission, and you want to make a meaningful impact to the organization.

But let’s face it - being a board member isn’t easy. You may be feeling a bit confused about your role, or worried you’re not measuring up. There’s a lack of clarity for what’s expected of you, and you may not have the right training or resources you need to be successful.

As a result, you’ve noticed your board members are operating in silos, and you don’t feel like you’re a united or consistent team.

Serving on a board should not be a burden. You deserve the chance to make a positive contribution and have a gratifying volunteer experience. It’s time to move away from confusion and burnout, and move toward clarity and empowerment.

Introducing: Chart Your Path
How to Become an Engaged & Effective Board Member

Chart Your Path is a brand new, FREE workshop for nonprofit board members and executives who want to build a strong and united board, and help board members achieve their full potential as volunteers.

During this one-hour workshop, you'll gain valuable tools and resources to “chart your path” as a board member. You'll learn about the behaviors of outstanding board members, and how to design an individual board experience that you enjoy. All session attendees will receive a copy of our workshop brochure with key takeaways to bring back to your board.

Chart Your Path is created and designed by Margie (Thirlby) DuBois and Rebecca Wilson, two nonprofit consultants who are both seasoned board members and former executives. They know the challenges of serving on a board, as well how to develop engaged, happy, and impactful boards.

Chart Your Path workshop offerings have closed for 2023. If you or your board is interested in bringing Chart Your Path to your organization, please contact us and we’ll get in touch with you!
