The Kindness Challenge

Imagine if just for one week, you made daily efforts to be kind to yourself and others.

What would you learn about yourself?
What impact could you make in your community?
How might your life or your career change?

. . .

Most of us have an easy time being kind to others, but struggle extending that same kindness and compassion toward ourselves. The reality is, both are essential for living a happy life.

Each year, The Thirlby Co. hosts the The Kindness Challenge to practice being kind to ourselves and others in community for one week. This FREE, week-long group coaching opportunity will provide you with the resources you need to give yourself some TLC and make positive waves in the community.

The challenge will run from May 13 - 19. Each day you’ll receive an email from Margie and spend just 15 minutes practicing kindness toward yourselves and others. After the challenge is over, we’ll gather for a community call on May 21 to celebrate our impact and discuss our learning.

THE KINDNESS CHALLENGE IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! If you have any questions or would like to join the Kindness Challenge next year, please contact us here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Kindness Challenge?

The Kindness Challenge is one of The Thirlby Company’s quarterly community challenges that celebrate our company’s mission and values. Four times a year, we come together for one week to focus on a particular area of our life that enhances our personal and professional development. For this year’s spring challenge, we are focusing on kindness - practicing kindness towards ourselves and others for seven days.

What exactly am I signing up for?

The Thirlby Co. challenges only last one week and are easy to complete! Each morning, you receive an email from Coach Margie, inviting you to two short activities that day - one for yourself, and one for someone else.

After the challenge is over, we come together for a one-hour community call to celebrate and share our learning. The call is optional and encouraged.

How much time should I budget for the challenge?

We design our challenges to last about 10-15 minutes each day. This includes reading the morning email and completing the activities for the day. We recommend putting a daily block on your calendar ahead of time so you can make the investment in yourself and allow time for your own reflection.

What if I can’t do a challenge activity on a certain day?

The challenges are designed with intentionality and flexibility. If you have a schedule challenge or unexpected obstacle, you can absolutely get creative and swap the days you do the activities, or do two on the same day. In addition, if there is any challenge you cannot complete due to physical or financial limitations, you can email us for a modification.

How much does the challenge cost?

All Thirlby Co. challenges are FREE! Our company is proud to provide a complimentary challenge every quarter to make coaching and personal development an inclusive and accessible opportunity for all humans.

How do I register?

You can sign up for the challenge using the form above. After you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email with some details. Before the challenge, you’ll receive a reminder email with some final details.

Can I invite friends?

Absolutely! The more the merrier. Please note that each of your friends must register for the challenge in order to receive the participation guide and our daily emails.

Can kids participate?

Kids are more than welcome. However, our challenges (and the daily emails) are geared towards individuals 14 and older. You can absolutely have your kids participate with you if there are particular activities that you feel are safe and appropriate for them to do.
